Labor Day weekend in Littleton, Colorado gives you four full days to work with. This year the local calendar is genuinely strong, and the broader metro adds options for anyone who wants to range further. Here is a straightforward rundown of what is happening Friday night through Monday, September 4-7, 2026, organized by day and distance from home.

Friday Night, September 4
Mana at Red Rocks Amphitheatre
Friday, September 4 | 8:30 PM | Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Morrison | $188+
Red Rocks opens the weekend with Mana, one of the most successful Latin rock bands in the world. They are playing two nights, September 4 and 5, and both shows are expected to sell out or come close. If you have tickets for Friday, plan to arrive before 7:30 PM. Red Rocks is about 20 minutes from most of Littleton, but parking on Morrison Road fills fast on big nights. The CDOT rideshare lot at Bandimere Speedway is a reliable alternative.

Jazz Aspen Snowmass: Labor Day Experience (Begins Friday)
Friday, September 4 | Snowmass Town Park, Snowmass Village | From $348 for 3-day pass
The Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience opens Friday night in Snowmass Village with a weekend lineup that includes Benson Boone, Tim McGraw, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, Shaboozey, Bonnie Raitt, and The Red Clay Strays. Daily attendance runs up to 10,000 people. The event organizers strongly recommend leaving your car at home: Snowmass closes surrounding roads during the event and provides shuttle access. If you are making the trip up from Littleton, plan for about two hours of drive time each way and factor shuttles into your arrival window.
Saturday, September 5
Main Street Chalk Art Festival
Saturday, September 5 | All Day | Downtown Littleton Main Street | Free
This is the anchor event of the Littleton weekend. Professional and amateur artists take over Main Street's sidewalks with large-format chalk murals, and the surrounding area fills with live music, interactive activities for kids, and pop-up vendor stations. The chalk art is temporary by nature, which gives the event a specific energy: what you see Saturday afternoon will be different from what was there at 9:00 AM. Arrive early if you want to watch artists at work. Parking is available in the city lots along Prince Street and Alamo Avenue. Downtown is walkable once you park.
A Paris Street Market at Aspen Grove
Saturday, September 5 | 8:00 AM | 7301 S. Santa Fe Drive, Littleton | Free
The Paris Street Market at Aspen Grove is a curated outdoor market with bakers, farmers, jewelry makers, ceramicists, and artists. It opens at 8:00 AM, which makes a natural Saturday morning combination: start at Aspen Grove when it opens, then head to Main Street as the chalk festival builds through mid-morning.
Southwest Plaza Farmers' Market
Saturday, September 5 | 8:00 AM | Southwest Plaza, Littleton | Free
Colorado farmer-owned and operated since 1977, the Southwest Plaza Farmers' Market is a reliable Saturday morning stop for late-summer produce. Martindale Farms typically sets up under the blue tents with seasonal vegetables and fruits.
Coffee and Cars Littleton
Saturday, September 5 | 7:30 AM | 7541 W. Bowles Ave., Littleton | Free
The monthly Coffee and Cars Littleton meet-up runs from 7:30 AM and is an easy, low-key way to open the morning before the rest of the day gets busy. Classic cars, good coffee, and a relaxed crowd.
Warbird Weekend at Wings Over the Rockies - Exploration of Flight
Saturday-Sunday, September 5-6 | 7711 E. Academy Blvd., Centennial | Admission applies
Wings Over the Rockies brings WWII-era warbirds to Exploration of Flight at Centennial Airport for a two-day aviation history event. Centennial Airport sits just east of Highlands Ranch and south Littleton, making this one of the more accessible big-draw events of the weekend for residents in that part of the metro.
Mana at Red Rocks (Night Two)
Saturday, September 5 | 8:30 PM | Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Morrison | $188+
If you missed Friday or want to go twice, Mana's second Red Rocks show is Saturday night at 8:30 PM. Same logistics as Friday: arrive early, consider rideshare, bring a layer for after the show.
Chocolate and Wine Pairing Class
Saturday, September 5 | 6:30 PM | 2560 Main St., Littleton | Tickets required
A small-group chocolate and wine pairing class on Main Street on Saturday evening. A good option if you want a quieter close to a busy day rather than a stadium show.
Sunday, September 6
Gregory Alan Isakov with the Colorado Symphony
Sunday, September 6 | 8:00 PM | Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Morrison | Tickets required
Gregory Alan Isakov is a Colorado songwriter with a catalog that sounds designed for late-summer evenings at altitude. The addition of the Colorado Symphony makes this one of the more special Red Rocks shows of the year. He plays both Sunday and Monday night. This is a considerably calmer experience than the Mana shows, but Red Rocks parking and traffic logic still applies.
Ritmo and Raices: A Latin American Heritage Celebration
Sunday, September 6 | Denver Union Station | Free
Denver Union Station and the Mexican Cultural Center open Hispanic Heritage Month with live music, dance performances, food, face painting, bilingual tours, and family-friendly crafts. A good Sunday option if you want something closer to the city.
Denver Summit FC vs. Gotham FC - NWSL
Sunday, September 6 | Centennial Stadium | Tickets required
Denver's professional women's soccer team hosts Gotham FC on Sunday afternoon at Centennial Stadium. Professional women's soccer continues to build real momentum in Colorado, and this is a good weekend to see it in person.
Sunday Bingo at BARBOX, Aspen Grove
Sunday, September 6 | 4:00 PM | Aspen Grove Shopping Center, Littleton | Check venue for tickets
BARBOX at Aspen Grove runs Sunday Bingo on September 6 starting at 4:00 PM. Comedy, cocktails, and a crowd that is clearly not taking it too seriously. A relaxed Sunday afternoon option close to home.
Monday, September 7 - Labor Day
Gregory Alan Isakov with the Colorado Symphony (Night Two)
Monday, September 7 | 8:00 PM | Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Morrison | Tickets required
The second Isakov and Colorado Symphony show closes out the Red Rocks run for the weekend. Monday night traffic heading home from Red Rocks can stack up, so build extra time into the evening.
Labor Day Lift Off Hot Air Balloon Festival - Colorado Springs
Saturday-Monday, September 5-7 | Memorial Park, Colorado Springs | Free

The Labor Day Lift Off is one of Colorado's most consistent long-weekend traditions. Roughly 70 hot air balloons launch from Memorial Park during morning sessions, with balloon glows, live music, and drone shows in the evenings. Morning balloon launches happen around 7:00 AM; plan to arrive by 6:30 AM if you want a good position. Evening glows start around dusk. The entire event is free. Colorado Springs is about an hour south of Littleton, and parking near Memorial Park is available but fills early on balloon launch mornings. This runs all three days of the holiday weekend, so Sunday or Monday both work if Saturday is already full.
Louisville Labor Day Parade and Festival
Monday, September 7 | 9:00 AM-3:00 PM | Memory Square Park, Louisville | Free
Louisville runs its annual Labor Day parade through downtown followed by a fall festival at Memory Square Park, with food vendors, crafts, bounce houses, and live entertainment through early afternoon. Louisville is a short drive north on US-36 and a good Monday option if you want to keep things local and close to home.
Practical Notes for the Weekend
- Traffic Friday afternoon: Interstate 70 west toward the mountains will be slow from mid-afternoon through evening. If you are heading to Snowmass for JAS, leave Littleton by noon or after 7 PM Friday.
- Red Rocks parking: Rideshare drop-off and the Bandimere lot on Morrison Road are consistently more reliable than trying to park on-site for sold-out or near-sold-out shows. Doors typically open 90 minutes before showtime.
- Downtown Littleton on Saturday: Main Street will be busy from mid-morning through mid-afternoon. Arriving before 9:00 AM gets you parking without frustration. The city lots on Prince Street and Alamo Avenue are your best options.
- Colorado Springs balloon launches: Launches depend on wind conditions and can be delayed or cancelled. Check the official Labor Day Lift Off social accounts the evening before for morning go/no-go updates.
- City of Littleton closures Monday: The Littleton Museum, Bemis Public Library, and Municipal Court are closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.
- Weather: Late-summer afternoons in Colorado can bring afternoon storms, particularly at elevation. If you are heading to Red Rocks or Snowmass in the evening, bring a layer and check the forecast before you leave.
Enjoy the Long Weekend
Littleton has a real weekend going on right at home, and the broader Colorado calendar adds depth if you want to travel further. From Main Street chalk art Saturday morning to Gregory Alan Isakov closing out Monday night at Red Rocks, there are four days worth of genuinely good options at a range of budgets and energy levels.
