The Big One: Western Welcome Week
Littleton residents have been holding this community celebration for 98 years. Western Welcome Week opens tonight (Friday) and continues through Sunday, August 16, with more than 40 events packed into the schedule, from a fishing derby to a hometown pig roast benefiting dozens of nonprofits.
Tonight (Friday, Aug 7)
- WWW Opening Night and Little Jam: The Downtown Littleton Block Party features dazzling performances, live music, fiery spectacles, and a fireworks finale.
- The Petty Nicks Experience concert and drone show: At Sterne Park, starting at 5 PM.
Saturday, Aug 8
- FREE Gold Panning on the South Platte River: Carson Nature Center, 9:30-11:30 AM.
- Art in the Park: Bega Park (East End of Main St), 10 AM-4 PM.
- Children's Fishing Derby: Geneva Lake Park, 10 AM-noon.
- 48th WWW Family Pancake Breakfast: Geneva Lodge.

The Denver Parade of Homes runs through August 23.
